Giant Spider Attacks Lenovo?

One of the designers on my team shot this entertaining video out the 5th floor window of a “giant spider” attacking Lenovo. I thought this was a fitting Halloween blog. Thank goodness the people in the crosswalk were able to escape unharmed. Happy Halloween.

Funny one! But… brr… I don’t think I’m rather interested in working for you after having seen that, I’ll stay here in Sweden far away from those spiders…
No misunderstandings now, I’ve never been on my way to move anywhere near that far, it has just been on my wishlist. And now it’s not anymore

David, since you’re at the Morrisville/RTP campus, did you catch the WKNC (88.1FM) localized Halloween broadcast of War of the Worlds?
You seem to be a fan of the classics in many departments, though I suppose you haven’t commented on entertainment programs so much as designs etc. They’ll be replaying it in a couple of weeks, in case you missed it.

So there are leaked photos floating around the Internet of a supposed next-generation ThinkPad, with a chiclet keyboard, half-height arrow keys, and a completely broken home/end/pgup/pgdn/delete block. If true, maybe you really were attacked by giant spiders after all.
I just had to come here to say 1- if it’s true, I’m going to have to stockpile X301s and never buy another ThinkPad (seriously, the arrow key thing is a complete dealbreaker) and 2- if not, a great topic for the next post would be a reassurance that you do understand why people buy ThinkPads and that you’re not going to break the keyboard.
Thanks for listening.

Can you imagine the size of the web after a Lenovian was wrapped? It sends shivers…

@Ben A. (mostly, all readers are welcome…)
Yeah maybe they were attacked by giant spiders. That laptop you named is white! No way!
It’s way more likely that one is not at all a real ThinkPad, it’s just someone who wanted a different computer and then built that.
But about the keyboard. I don’t think the arrow keys have shrunk all the way to half-size. If you look closer you’ll see that the bottom row is quite a lot higher than the other rows. On the other hand, it may be the other rows that has been shrunk.
Anyway, I believe it’s about as real as the giant spider…
